Completing the first year of trading is the dream of any new start business but Hull based VinylFX has done just that. Established in January 2017 by Simon Havercroft and wife Natasha, the business has grown into a flourishing Limited company and now have just employed their first Vinyl Fitter at their workshop on Tower House Business Park, Hedon Road. Work undertaken by VinylFX ranges from general day to day vinyl printing to large fleet vehicle wraps and car enhancements such as light tinting and cut vinyl graphics.
Simon said “Natasha and I decided to take the leap into starting up our family business as we believed my background of printing and knowledge of running machinery, along with Natasha’s customer service and administration skills, would make an excellent combination in a new company and provide a professional service for this area of the trade.
I have worked in this industry for over 10 years and after leaving my last job, the role I wanted just didn’t exist unless we made it happen.
Running a business is not easy for anyone and being your own boss has its perks and downfalls but we wouldn’t have it any other way, making it happen now hopefully will lead to a brighter, better future for our two children”.
Local business start-up support organisation, the Chamber Acorn Fund (Humber) Ltd, based at the Hull Chamber of Commerce, Beverley Road, worked with Natasha and Simon providing advice, funding options and ongoing mentoring support once they were up and running, all at no cost to Simon and Natasha
Simon and Natasha Havercroft, owners of VinylFX, said “The support they have given us has been great and without their help in the beginning we wouldn’t be where we are now- 1 year later with a thriving and growing business”
Supporting businesses across Yorkshire and the Humber region by providing a range of financial services including funding, start-up loans and business mentoring, the team at Chamber Acorn Fund are available to offer advice and support to anyone who is looking to start their own business in the coming year.
Caroline Sturgeon, Business Advisor, comments “Working with Simon and Natasha at such an exciting time for them was a great opportunity for us to contribute to a successful future for them and their business. They have great ambition and vision for VinylFX and we helped them to realise those ideas. With Simon and Natasha’s continuing hard work, I have no doubt this company will go from strength to strength”
